Good Life Fitness Tips

One of the key things to keep in mind in trying to stay fit and living the good life is the importance of balance. The primary reason I created the ezine "Busy Executive Fitness Tips" and the ebook "Fitting Exercise Into A Busy Schedule" was to educate people about simple things they can do to stay fit in a short period of time. To truly understand how to benefit from good life fitness routines is to do 3 simple things.

1) Identify small increments of time throughout your day where you can do 1-3 simple exercises on key areas of your body you feel need attention. As an example here is a simple thing you can do where you will see results in a short period of time. Keep a set of dumbells in your office or near your workspace if you work from home in some other area. Each time you go to the bathroom and return to your desk do a set of 10-20 reps. Do this say on Tuesday & Thursdays. But on Monday Wednesday and Friday use heavier weight dumbells and do 5-8 reps each time you return from the bathroom.
You can switch sequences based on your ultimate goal. If your goal is to build larger muscles then use heavier dumbells on Mon-Wed and Fri. If you are more concerned with the appearance of your muscles then use the lighter weights with higher reps on Mon-Wed-Fri. This method only adds a few minutes to each bathroom break and really does not require much of your time. Even the busiest executive has to go to the bathroom!

2) Read 10 pages in a good book during your lunch break. If you can't read 10 pages then read 5 but do it every day during lunch. This will give your brain a break from what you may be focusing on throughout the day. Brain Fitness is a key to eliminating stress and enhancing your creativity in other areas. If you are a chess player I suggest playing a 5-15 minute game during your lunch break at http://www.instantchess.com/ this will truly give your brain a work out. This simple break prevents you from focusing on what you were working on prior to lunch while you aer eating which is essentially like not getting a break at all. This simple technique will also not add any additional time to your day.

3) Give yourself a weekly reward. Everything is game! Keep a journal each day that simply lists the two tips above and if you did them both that day or not. On Friday if you have done each task each day for the entire week then reward yourself with something you have been limiting or restricting while trying to get fit. Say it is Pizza, Ice Cream or something you love but dont want to eact too much of. If once a week is still too much of what you crave then do it once per month the point is to reward yourself without feeling guilty!

You can implement the tips above with no little to no time added to your busy schedule, I hope you enjoyed these short good life fitness tips.
